Welcome to the Kuran project's website.
This project provides an application for viewing and reciting The Holy Quran.
This application is based on the Arabeyes.org Quran Project. Detailed information on the Kuran project can be found here.
30.06.2005 Kuran for Java 0.08 Release
Today there is another release of Kuran for Java.
Here are the changes in detail:
- The application shows a disclaimer at startup
- The application shows a splash screen at startup
- Redesigned the UI
- Added sajda indicator
- Added seeking recitation of a single aya
- Added two recitation modes
- Fixed a bug where recitation did not stop at the end of the Quran
- It now looks like native applications
- The library now internally uses XPath for the XML data files
- several other small improvements

It was time to do some working on the website. Well, this is the result. It's cleaner, more consistent and comes with one more translation: French.
